Welcome to CAMMBIO

The Competence Center for Algorithmic and Mathematical Methods in Biology, Biotechnology, and Medicine is an interdisciplinary initiative that brings together expertise from multiple faculties to develop innovative approaches in the fields of biology and medicine. Its focus lies particularly on topics emerging from the rapidly advancing disciplines of systems biology and systems medicine, where computer-based solutions are combined with mathematical modeling and experimental biological methods.

Founded in July 2017—initially for a period of three years—the center currently comprises seven professors from four different faculties of the Technische Hochschule Mannheim. Its primary goal is to integrate and strengthen the expertise of its members through joint industrial collaborations and scientific research projects.
